From 12 to 15 October 2021, the Pollutec exhibition will take place at the Eurexpo in Lyon (France)! This year, the leading international event dedicated to environmental solutions will welcome exhibitors and visitors in person.

On this occasion, we will be exhibiting on the Occitanie Region (South of France) pavilion alongside our partner Phenix Batteries (SNAM Groupe) on a joint stand.

The objective: to show you our new photovoltaic self-consumption cabinet equipped with the storage system on second life batteries recycled by Phenix Batterie, and now equipped with a dimmer for Domestic Hot Water control.

Launched in 2017, the AEA cabinet, dedicated to self-consumption photovoltaics with storage for individuals, is the 1st self-consumption system with storage to have obtained the Origine France Garantie label, as of 2019!

Since then, the network of AEA cabinet installers has grown to include more than twenty certified installers in France. Thus, our participation in the Pollutec exhibition alongside our partner Phenix Batteries will be an opportunity to present the range of functionalities of the AEA cabinet to the actors of the photovoltaic sector and to discover the Phenix Batteries recycled battery technology.

In the spotlight for almost a year, the production of low-carbon hydrogen is a subject on which Sirea has quickly positioned itself, starting in 2019. After 2 years of development, we have managed to integrate and control a hydrogen production and storage system, generated thanks to the surplus photovoltaic energy of our shaded area.

Only a few months after our teams embarked on the hydrogen adventure with this H+PV innovation project, the national strategy to accelerate the development of low-carbon hydrogen announced support for the sector of 2 billion euros by 2030.

To contextualise this project, the Sirea site already had a photovoltaic shade (21 kWp) in controlled self-consumption, partially financed by the 2019 call for projects « Photovoltaic electric self-consumption in Occitania ». Photovoltaic energy allows us to recharge our electric vehicles and power our buildings.

We wanted to optimise our self-consumption rate by storing the surplus energy produced, by connecting 40 kWh of recycled batteries (Phenix Batteries). This technology allows us to ensure short-term storage to quickly recharge our EVs without oversizing the subscription to the electrical network. However, the idea is to go further in exploring the possibilities offered by hydrogen for long-term and inter-seasonal storage.

Hydrogen was the logical next step in this project. Sirea therefore invested in a hydrogen storage solution, which integrates a 430 W electrolyser to convert surplus energy from photovoltaics into hydrogen. Up to 80 kWh of electrical energy can be stored as hydrogen (at 10 bars). Thus, on days of low solar production, the storage system’s fuel cell will « burn » the hydrogen released to supply the electricity needed for the building and vehicles, and from this transformation will be released … water!

Today, the challenge for Sirea is to show that beyond the technical feasibility, the compatibility of renewable energies with cleaner ways of storing energy is obvious, whether through second life batteries or hydrogen. There is a definite complementarity between these different storage technologies!

To interact with the hydrogen storage and ensure that surplus photovoltaic energy is directed to the electrolyser or to the fuel cell, we use our own intelligent SmartEMS manager.

This PLC designed for energy control already equips several photovoltaic installations in controlled self-consumption, but this will be a first in terms of connecting a hydrogen storage system. The official commissioning of the hydrogen storage system at our Castres site (South of France) is planned for spring 2021.

Sirea Group became a member of the European Economic Chamber of Trade based in Phnom Penh.

From now on, Sirea will benefit from EuroCham Cambodia’s backing and a global view on trade agreements between France and Cambodia that directly concern the society.

This way, the society will keep on developing its commercial trades and activities related to the energy in Cambodia, like in 2019 when Sirea group worked with ATS Cambodia on self consumption cabinets.

2019 ends with a dynamic and productive spirit for Sirea and Phenix Batteries, the new subsidiary of SNAM Groupe, society involved in battery recycling.

Both of our companies were respresented together on the 11th and 12th of december under DERBI competitive cluster flag at EnerGaïa forum to expose our solutions concerning the energy efficiency and storage as part of self consumption.

This brand new partnership with the SNAM Groupe society allows us to integrate second and batteries from recycled components into our self consumption cabinets to reach an excellent value.

Getting closer to a neighbouring society such as SNAM Groupe imbodies our value of proximity and co-development because their production facility is located in Viviez (Aveyron in South of France). Futhermore, this partnership made possible a direct deposit on the french market of solutions in agreement with substainable development and users’ energetic efficiency.

Right after the begining of the collaboration between ATS Cambodia and Sirea as part of renewable energy development and energy efficiency in Cambodia, they both take part at the 19th edition of the Construction foir in Cambodia in Phnom Penh from the 5th to 7th of december.

This event was the opportunity for Sirea to present its self consumption cabinets and its SmartEMS solution which is supposed to be launched in 2020.

Assisting to the forum was the occasion for Bruno Bouteille and Théo Rioux, who were present at the Sirea’s stand next to the ATS Cambodia one, to promote the french technology to Ambassador Eva Nguyen-Binh and to the Minister of the urban construction and development Chea Sophara.

We wish to thank our partner ATS Cambodia for all the support they gave us with the organization of this event.

After a first partnership with the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, Sirea continues its deployment in Asia formalising at the end of 2019 a new partnership with ATS Cambodia, provider of solutions in electricity and automation.

Based in Phnom Penh since 2003, ATS Cambodia became in 2007 the first supplier of electrical cabinets in the country, for the energy and construction sector.

Today, Cambodia has a solar potential still under-exploited, with considerable sunshine (8 to 9 hours from December to April), estimated by experts to about 8000 MW, while the cost of electricity remains much higher than in France (around 0.20 USD / kWh).

The aim of the collaboration with ATS Cambodia is to speed up the deployment of the AEA range of cabinets dedicated to on-grid and off-grid self-consumption, as well as to launch the marketing of our new energy manager, SmartEMS (which will also be available in France in early 2020).

You will be able to meet Sirea and ATS Cambodia on the same stand during the CCA construction fair from 5 to 7 December 2019 in Phnom Penh.

Organised by EnergyLab Asia, the Clean Energy Week, which takes place from 1st to 7th November 2019 in Phnom Penh, was the opportunity for Sirea to open the doors of its School Factory located within the Institute of Cambodia Technologies (ITC).

Launched in 2018, this partnership with ITC enables Cambodian students from the technological programs to benefit from a school-factory equipped with Sirea devices, and dedicated to the manufacture of self-consumption cabinets. This arrangement serves as training support, but also allows to make real functional cabinets for the Asian market.

Thus, Theo Rioux, present on the event and in charge of the project of the School Factory, was able to answer the questions of the students adept of new technologies but also to the professionals of the renewable energies.

Thursday, September 19 in Montpellier was held the ceremony of the RMC SME Trophy regional awards for which Sirea was nominated.

Its self-consumption cabinet, the AEA3000 +, which obtained the “Origine France Garantie” label in the spring, allowed Sirea to be selected among the 3 best regional companies nominated in the category “Made in France”!

No prize this year, but a nomination among more than 1300 applications that brings to Sirea teams both pride and motivation! Congratulations to the winners of this 10th edition of the RMC SME Trophy, and see you next year!

The “Premios Nacionales” will present this Thursday, September 19, 2019 in Madrid and distinguish this year two women, and among them, our specialist in augmented reality applied to the industry, Ana Monreal Vidal!

For this 2019 edition, the CGOII (General Council of Official Schools of Industrial Engineering in Spain) wished to reward the entrepreneurial character driven by Ana these last years in the Spanish industrial sector. Among these notable actions, there is the launch of iAR in 2014, recognized today as one of the key companies of the market in Spain. This success was achieved through major innovative projects, piloted by Ana between the iAR and Sirea teams, in the field of augmented reality for the industry. Among others, there are projects carried out in Spain for Acciona or Volkswagen, but also in France with the OMERE project for Enedis in 2015 or the deployment of “Consignation Augmentée” for EDF since 2018.

The teams of Sirea and iAR are very proud to collaborate with Ana and congratulate our manager of the augmented reality branch!

Selected among the 30 participating companies, Sirea will be one of the SMEs and start-upsthat will join in September the CleanTech Booster program initiated by the Occitanie region and EDF.

The company accelerator will host for 10 months the eleven winners who will enter at the end of the summer at “La Villa”, the new co-working space in the former thermal power station Aramon.

With the aim of revitalizing the industrial activity of the Gard region, members of the public-private association CleanTech Vallée, at the origin of the project, focused on Industry 4.0.

Thanks to this new opportunity, several sectors of Sirea’s business will be able to benefit directly from this program: the automation activity thanks to the SME-startup merger, as well as the development of energy management solutions in the rise in this region.

The next meeting is set for the 26th of September at La Villa for the inauguration of the new premises of the company accelerator.
